Survey At Manapouri
(N.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, July 20. A three-man Naval survey team will make a start tomorrow on hydrographic work associated with the Manapouri power scheme. The team, led by Lieu-tenant-Commander G. F. Haskins, will check depths on the upper Waiau river and at Pearl Harbour at the Manapouri outlet, lections and profiles of the river floor are essential for power scheme control work. The job is expected to take at least a week.
