TOWN HALL FUNDS
New Form Of Gift Idea
Cr. H. G. Hay, chairman of the City Council’s town hall committee, loses few opportunities of suggesting ways of raising money for the project. He proposed a new one at the council meeting last evening. When rate demands are issued next month it might be possible to have a notice inviting ratepayers to contribute the odd shillings and pence as a voluntary donation to the funds, be said.
His suggestion was referred to the finance committee.
