Mr H. W. B. Webber, at present principal of Paeroa College, has been appointed foundation principal of the post-primary school which is to open at Otumoetai, Tauranga, next February.—(P.A.) Mr J. B. Brooke, an Auckland engineer, has been invited to India by the International Labour Office to advise on the establishment of a long-term training programme for foundry and forge technologists. Mr Brooke, who is director of the Auckland Industrial Development Division of the D.5.1.R., will spend three months in India examining the need for foundry and forge technologists and advising on the set-ting-up of a training institute at Ranchi, about 40 miles north oi Calcutta.—(P.A.)
