Sick Dogs
Sir, —Some years ago we had a collie dog which was badly affected by distemper. We cared for it by keeping It warm and well wrapped. It was given a. 25 mg. theamin chloride tablet (vitamin Bl), which it managed to swallow thrice daily with Water. The improvement was immediate and there was no after affect and no recurrence ever. Today . I would give 25 mg. tocapherol (vitamiri E) along with the 81. With this combination we have had great success, even with sick budgies and canaries.—Yours, etc., A. BLACK.
