Vermes To Transfer
The transfer of A. Vermes, who has accepted a position in the North Island, is a considerable blow to Canterbury table tennis.
Vermes, a former Wellington representative, was ranked eighth in Canterbury last year and has shown a marked improvement in his game this season, representing the province against Hutt Valey and in the quadrangular tournament against South Canterbury, Otago and Southland.
With V. N. Brightwell, he won the Canterbury open and closed men’s doubles championships last season.
