The New Zealand Council lout Ing cricket team was beaten by one wicket In a two-day match against the Club Cricket Confer ence at Park Royal yesterday The winning run came from a bye off the last ball of the last over. After leading by IS runs on the first Innings, the New Zealanders collapsed the second time against good pace bowling They were all out for 73 In 55 minutes.
The hostile bowling of R. Cunis and R. Wealleans, supported by keen fielding, cap tured six Conference wickets for only 27, but C. Jarrett and N. Griffin then added 44 for the next wicket.
The last man came In with two runs to win and three balls left. Off the last but one he scored a single and then a bye settled the Issue.
