EXTENSION PLANNED

Headquarters Of W.D.F.F.

IH.I. Preu Aeeoctatton)

HAMILTON, July 1

The women's division of Federated Farmers is to ex. tend its headquarters building in Wellington at an approximate cost of £ll,OOO. This was agreed to in principle by the more than 1000 delegates attending the Dominion conference in Hamilton. Money for the extensions, which will include hosteltype accommodation for about 15, will eome from money raised by the sale of “Honda” and “Little Honda” —properties left to the organisation by the late Dr. Agnes Bennett

The sale of these two properties realised £19,688. Extensions to the existing headquarters will also include accommodation for a hostess and a suite of offices. During discussion on dispossl of this money, some delegates felt that it eould be used to erect holiday homes for members in a number of districts.

The majority felt, however, that such homes should be the projects of Individual provincial districts and should be financed by them and not by headquarters.
