LIFE-MEMBER BADGES
Canterbury Hotel Association
Two life members of the Canterbury Hotel Association were presented with gold badges at the association’s annual meeting by the president (Mr A. F. McGregor-). Mr J. MacKenzie, who has been ’ a life member since 1946, has been in the liquor trade for 78 years. The other life member, Mr C. W. Stafford, was made a life member in 19S8, and has been in the trade since 1933.
Mr J. H. MacKengie, a Jife member since 1955 who joined the trade in 1884, could not receive his badge because of illness.
Mr McGregor was re-elected president Other . officers elected were:—Vice-presi-dents, Messrs A. Scott and T. C. Watson; town executive, Messrs A. Ballantyne, C. H. Corliss, R. H. Rattray, A. G. Bailey, B. W. Lawrence, J. V. McCormick, E. C. Hill and C. G. Steel; country executive, Messrs R. V. Kearney, D. M. Corbett, W. J. Chambers, R. A. Miller, W. H. Haile, W. C. Smart, G. A. Wright, and B. Dunn.
