Boys Landed Stolen Plane In Parking Lot

SCHENECTADY (New York), July 1. Two teen-age boys were returned to Massachusetts yesterday to face their parents and police after stealing a light plane and crashlanding it in the parking lot of the General Electric Company in New York. Police troopers said the youngsters were aged 15 and 13. Their compass gave out, then they noticed that both

fuel tanks were virtually empty Looking for a spot to land, the boys saw the lights of the parking lot and went down.

They needed 1000 feet for the landing, but had only 500. and smashed the plane Neither boy was hurt, and both walked away from the wreckage.

The plane was owned by a Massachusetts flying club and was valued at 6000 dollars.
