GOVERNOR OF ROTARY

Mr P.C. Blank’s New Post Mr P. C. Blank, a Hokitika public accountant, yesterday took up his appointment as governor of District 298 of Rotary International for 1964-65. He was elected at Rotary’s convention in Toronto last month. Mr Blank attended a nineday meeting in May at the Lake Placid Club, in upper New York State, where he took part in study sessions and was instructed in his administrative duties.

During his year as governor, Mr Blank will visit each of the 36 Rotary clubs in his district to counsel club officers on Rotary matters. He will also plan and preside at a district conference attended by Rotarians of the district.

Membership of Rotary is now at a record 549,000. Members belong to 11,700 dubs in 125 countries.
