C. Waugh Wins Squash Title

MASTEBTON, June 28. C. Waugh, of Palmerston North, the New Zealand champion squash player, beat W. Deacon, of Henderson, in the final of the Wairarapa men’s open championship in Masterton today. The score was 9-3, 9-0, 9-2.
In the semi-finals Waugh beat T. Johnston, of Palmerston North. 9-4, 9-2, 9:3, and Deacon beat E. Dibley, of Remuera, 9-4, 8-10, 9-1, 9-4.
In the women's open championship, Mrs D. Deacon, of Henderson, beat Mrs M. Waugh, of Palmerston North, 9-1, 9-2, 9-3.
