"Hobbies " Box 579, Wanganui. . th WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY RATES—YEAR 1964-65 Pursuant to the provisions of the Rating Act. 1925. and the Counties' Act, 1956, and subsequent amendments, public notice is hereby given that the Waimairi County Council has prepared and approved the following estimates of income and expenditure for the period commenced on the first day of April, 1964, and ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1965. 1. INCOME £ (a) Motor drivers’ licence fees, building and other miscellaneous licences and fees . . 15,575 (b) Commission, sale of trees, rents, etc. 56,100 (c) National Roads Board subsidies and grant .. 53,163 (d) Outstanding rates, etc. 7,057 Amount required from general rates .. 174,337 £306,232 2. Further notice is given that for the purpose of meeting the additional amount of £174,337, it is the intention of the Waimairi County Council at the expiration of

Further notice is given pursuant to the provisions of the Counties’ Act, 1956, the Health Act, 1956, and the Rating Act, 1925, that at the expiration of fourteen (14) days from the date of this notice, it is the Intention of the Waimairi County Council to make and levy a sanitation fee, separate rates and rates on behalf of other ■ local authorities as follows: (a) Under the provisions of section 115 of the Counties’ Act, 1956, a uniform annual fee of £3 16s in respect of each property within the county which is provided with a sanitation service. (b) Under the provisions of section 118 of the Counties’ Act, 1956, water rates as follows: (1) On all lands and dwelling houses to which water is supplied a rate of .29766 (pence) in the £ - (pound) on the basis of capital value, provided that If that rate would produce less than one pound (£1) in respect of any such land or dwelling house, a rate of not more than one. pound (£1) may be made and levied. (2) On all lands and dwelling houses to which water can be but is not supplied, situated within one. hundred yards of any part of the waterworks, a rate not exceeding half of the rate mentioned in paragraph (1) above (3) Extraordinary supply —per meter. Residential, commercial, industrial, etc.— Is per thousand gallons. Public hospitals and educational institutions—9d per thousand gallons. . (c) Such rates as are fixed and levied by special resolution of the following local authorities:— Christchurch Drainage Board. Christchurch Transport Board. North Canterbury Catchment Board. The whole of the above rates, including the sanitation fee to be for the period commenced the first day of April, 1964, and ending on the thirty-first day of March, 1965, and shall, be payable in one sum at the office of the Waimairi County Council, corner Clyde and Jeffreys roads. Fcndalton, on the tenth day of August, 1964, and be subject to a penalty of ten per cent (10%) additional if not paid within six months and fourteen days from date of demand thereof.
