Promotions In Navy
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 29. The Naval Board has announced the following promotions, which are effective from tomorrow:— To Commander: Lieutenant Commander M. M. Sauli, director of gunnery and training at Navy Office: Lieutenant Commander E. R. Ellison, base supply officer to the Commodore. Auckland; Lieutenant Commander H. R. Simmonds, base engineer officer to the commodore, Auckland, Lieutenant Commander G. W. Shotter. engineer officer in H.M.N.Z.S. • Royalist. To Second Officer W.R.N.Z.N.S.—Third Officer Helen Davis, secretary to the Chief of Naval Staff. Provisional promotions effective from December 31 next are:— To Captain: Commander S F. Mercer, naval liai-on officer in London. To Commander: Lieutenant Commander G. A Lawrence on loan to the Royal Malaysian Navy.
