Co-operation Sought
Negotiations with the International Union of Students to agree on a set of common principles of co-operation were recommended to the International Student Conference last evening in a report of its commission on a programme of activities. The 1.-J.S. has headquarters tn Prague and has as members most of the Communist countries’ student unions. Other activities recommended to the conference were an international student delegation to countries in West Asia, an international student seminar, a student travel conference, a student press conference, a seminar on organisation of self-help projects, and regional seminars on a variety of topics. The proposals have yet to be approved by the conference.
