TOHEROA AT £50 A 1000
Black Market In Auckland (NZ. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 28. A Muriwai beach resident said today that toheroa poaching was going on all the time and with the black-market price in Auckland of £5O a 1000, it was likely to continue. But, he said, the number of toheroa taken by the poachers in the last year would probably be no greater than the number which will be destroyed by the public when the season opens on July 1.
