HUMES AUST. MOVE

One-For-Four At Premium (N Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, June 26. Humes, Ltd. will make a one-for-four issue of 20s ordinary shares at a premium of 10s. directors have announced. The issue will go to holders as at July 17 and the new shares will rank for dividend from July 1. Institutional holders of the 125,000 shares placed by lan Potter and Company recently will share in the new issue. It will bring capital to £4.456.655 and add £464,562 to reserves. The new shares are payable in full on application. Directors said that dividend for 1964-65 should be in the vicinity of 121 per cent. Current dividend is 14 per cent. They added that the new capital would be used for financing plant that would not be fully productive for some time. The half-year's results had varied and were not entirely in line with earlier forecasts. However, the profit this year should not be far short of the record £943,597 reached last year.
