Hunger Appeal At £250,000
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 24. A contribution this morning of £5OO from a Wellington engineer and further donations amounting to £l3BO brought New Zealand’s - Freedom from Hunger Campaign at noon to over £250,000. “We have now less than £lOO,OOO to raise to reach our target,” a C.0.R.5.0. spokesman said.'
The Wellington engineer’s gift—£so to help finance the installation of a village well and £450 to provide a C.0.R.5.0. scholarship, for a Korean nurse—brought his total contribution to C.0.R.5.0. in recent years to more than £lOOO. .
