Post-Budget Market Steadier At Close
Thursday evening’s Budget seemed to have little effect on stock exchange trading in New Zealand yesterday as business ended for the week. However, New Zealand issues were steadier and overseas stocks were again in balance New Zealand Cement G moved up 2s 9d to 37s 9d„ while the M shares gained Is to 425. Southland Frozen Meat rose 3d to a peak 275. New Zealand Industrial Gases sold 4s 4d up at 95s ex dividend, while Mannings in first ex dividend sales were Is Id down at 22s .9d. Moulded Products rose Is to 12s.
