Qualification Relaxed
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 25. Miners seeking qualification as mine managers, underviewers or firemen deputies will be able to sit theoretical examinations earlier in terms of a Coal Mines Amendment Bill introduced in Parliament today; The bill relaxes requirements for underground experience and age limitations before candidates sit certain subjects.
To be appointed a mine manager, a person must still be at least 23.
