LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

(1) Letters sent to the Editor for printing should preferably be typed, otherwise they must be written in Ink on one side of the paper only. A legible signature ■and full address are required whether these are to be published or not. A P.O box number is not a suffi cient address. (2) Writers must say clearly whether or not their letters are being or have been sent ’ to other papers (3) The Editor cannot return or keep any letter which, for any reason, is unsuitable for printing; nor can he ac knowledge unsuitable letters although this will be done where tt seems to be needful, or enter into any correspondence. (4) Letters must not be of more than 150 words.

G.B.W.—We have space for only one critic. Beatle-Hater.—No space for that hate here. Africa For Africans.—Subject not now open. Roger Richardson.—This is the closed season for apartheid letters. James Citizen.—No space to reopen the recent correspondence on alcoholics. Inherited Land.—No doubt Mr Grant would discuss the question with you. Why Black Figureheads?—No space for discussion of race problems just now. Not Satisfied.—We should think this is a rare occurrence. If the disappointed customer would supply full details, we could seek the comment of the management.
