Day Off For G. Blossom
"The Press" Special Service DUNEDIN. June 25. Golden Blossom will not race at Washdyke on Saturday. There is nothing wrong with her, but her trainer, D. P. Wilson, considers she has had enough racing in the meantime and has scratched her from the Thomas Seaton Memorial. Her usual rider. J. R. Dowling, will now ride Tirana. Tombob, a member of H. J. Powell’s team, is to miss his engagement in the same race. Ravelston is not a certain starter in the C. L. Orbell Memorial Steeplechase for which he is one of the early fancies. The Kurdistan gelding has an infected leg. It had improved today, allowing him to be worked for the first time this week. A decision will be made tomorrow. He may be reserved for Trentham. If he is scratched B. P. Kennedy will ride The Watch.
