First Win For Six Years
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright? BRISBANE, June 25. Queensland, with a minimum of possession,, beat New South Wales, 14-9, in a Rugby match for the first time since 1958, at Brisbane today. However, it was a hollow, if deserved, win. The match could have finished 9-9 had the referee spotted J. Collins’ knock-on as he gathered a loose ball for his converted try. D. Hughes scored all the New South Wales points, with a try and two penalties. For Queensland Collins and D. O’Neill scored tries, and D. Clark kicked two penalties and a conversion.
