Bus Fares Cut For Old Folk
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 17. ' Age beneficiaries and universal superannuitants in Wanganui were now charged only half fares on buses, because “pensions don’t go up with increased costs,” Mr A. C. Sievewright, chairman of Greyhound Buses, said today. • ‘ The concession, which applies every day of the week between 9.55 a.m. and 2.30 p.m., h;.s been offered by Greyhound Buses, a private company which has made a profit every year since it started 14 years ago.
