Charge Of Murder
(N Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, June 18. A man will appear in the Hamilton Magistrate’s Court tomorrow morning on a charge of murdering Mrs Gwen Hukatai. A remand will be sought by the police to enable further inquiries to be made. Mrs Hukatai, 19-year-old mother of an eight-months-old baby was found dead in the washroom of a house at Mahoe street, Te Awamutu, about 3 a.m. She is believed to have been stabbed in the chest. Mrs Hukatai, of Horotiu, was staying in Te Awamutu with relatives. The man who will appear was taken to Waikato. Hospital. He was released from the hospital about 4.30 p.m.
