60% Cheaper From Japan
(N Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 18.
A Japanese firm, the Ajikawa Construction Company, of Osaka, has been awarded a contract for construction of a 132foot steel microwave tower on the new Airedale street telephone exchange building in Auckland.
The successful tender was £6090. The lowest price submitted by a New Zealand firm was £15,000.
