Committed To Supreme Court

AUCKLAND, June 18. A 63-year-old boardinghouse proprietress, May Ross, was today committed to the Supreme Court for trial on charges that she kept a brothel at 12 Symonds street and attempted to procure a girl for sexual intercourse with a male, not being her husband. .She pleaded not guilty. Messrs C. L. Hewson and A. R. Corbey, Justices of the Peace, dismissed a charge that Ross did knowingly live on part of the earnings of the prostitution of another person. They refused an application by Mr P. A. Williams for suppression of accused’s name.
