Holden Peak
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, June 18. General Motors-Holden Pty., Ltd., tonight announced a new peak profit of £19.2m for the year to December 31 last.
The profit is the highest ever reported by a- company in Australia and compares with the previous peak Australian company profit figure of £16.3m earned by Broken Hill Pty. Company, Ltd., last year.
The G.M.H. result for 1963 is an increase of £3.7m on the previous peak profit figure of £15.5m earned in 1962. Total net sales of the G.M.H. group also set a new peak figure of £177.2m, which was an increase of 21.7 per cent on the 1962 sales figure of £145.6m.
