Colonel Fanselow Appointed
Lieutenant-Colonel C. Fanselow of the Southern Military District beadquarters, has been appointed director of the Royal New Zealand Armoured Corps. He replaces Lieutenant-Colonel W. C. T. Foley, who will command the New Zealand Army detachment which will go to South Vietnam this month. Colonel Fanselow will also become director of the New Zealand Army Cadet Corps. He served with the 4th Armoured Brigade In World War Two, and went to Japan with J-Force. In 1956-57 he was a United Nations military observer in Palestine. He was a staff officer at Southern Military District headquarters until his new appointment. Colonel Fanselow left for Wellington yesterday.
