Training Course For Scouters
■A training course for Roman Catholic scouters will be held on Saturday, June 20, and Sunday, June 21, at the Y.M.C.A: camp at Spencer Park. The highlight of the camp, which is to be held by the Catholic Scouters and. Guiders Guild, will be the presentation by Mr R. Moore, area commissioner, of the Medal of Merit to Mother Laurence Eagan. On Sunday, there will be a church parade at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, which will be attended by 500 to 600 guides, brownies, scouts, and cubs from all parts of Canterbury. After the service, they will parade to’ St. Patrick’s Hall, Barbadoes street, where a talent quest will be held.
