Santana, of Spain, will again meet for the men’s singles title in the French tennis championships. , In two superb semi-finals yesterday, Pietrangeli came from behind to beat J. E. Lundquist (Sweden), 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 6-4, while Santana beat P. Darmon (France), 8-6, 64, 3-6, 2-6, 64. When Pietrangeli and Santana clashed for the title in 1961, it produced the finest French final since the war. Santana won in five sets after Pietrangeli had led two sets to one.

In the women’s double semifinals, N. Bayion (Argentina) and H. Schultze (Germany) beat M. Bueno (Brazil) and R. Ebbern (Australia), 6-3, 1-6, 6-3, and M. Smith and L. Turner (Australia) beat S. Lazzarino and L. Pericoli (Italy), 64, 64.
