Hotel Hours

Sir, —“Farm Hand” is typical of the irresponsible element who Ignore the result of the last poll on liquor sales hours, when there was a substantial majority for retaining 6 o’clock closing. This minority group who persist in foisting their views upon us have no thoughts other than their own puerile and selfish pleasures. They are not the least concerned about the suffering caused by alcohol, and they are the first to condemn the pitiful alcoholic. They are the hypocrites, who give two bob to the Save the Children Fund, and then, smugly patting themselves on the back, go off to the "boozer” and send a quid down the toilet.— Yours, etc., D. C. McKIE. Islington, May 27, 1964.
