Obituary MR F. D. MACKIE
(N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON N„ May 28. Mr F. D. Mackie, secretary of the Woodville and Pahiatua Jockey Clubs, died at Woodville yesterday, aged 67. Mr Mackie spent the greater part of his life in the district and gave service to practically every organisation in the area, where he was regarded as a true sportsman and a man of high ideals and friendly disposition. J Mr Mackie had his own accountancy business but had lately confined' his activities to his racing club secretaryship. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.
