CHEVIOT COUNTY COUNCIL MOTOR DRIVERS’ LICENCES Licences which expire on June 30, 1964. may be renewed at the County Office, Cheviot, from June 1 next. Many five-year licences expire this year. Please check yours. Licences may be renewed for any number of years up to five, except by drivers required to produce medical certificates who may renew their licences for one year only. The fees are five shillings per year, plus one shilling and sixpence if a licence cover is required. With the exception of renewals which require Medical Certificates or driving tests, licences issued by the Cheviot County Council may be renewed by post, provided the licence about to expire is forwarded together with the appropriate fee and a stamped addressed envelope for return of the licence. Persons SEVENTY years of age or more must make an appointment for a driving test, and are required to produce a medical certificate, which must be dated not earlier than fourteen days before the date on which the test is carried out.
