DRESS “TOO INFORMAL”
City Taxi Drivers The attire of Christchurch taxi drivers was too infor-mal,-said the No. 9 Transport Licensing Authority (Mr J. S. Haywood) at a public hearing yesterday. He hoped the two successful applicants would maintain a more formal standard Of dress. The Authority granted two applications for the transfer of continuous taxi service licences. They were by Gerald Russell Hughey (Mr A. F. Wilding) from Dennis Noel Shaw, and by Peter Ward (Mr J. A. Bretherton) from Rex Arnold Hadfield.
