Professors’ Pay Review Wanted
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 28. A review by the Government and the University Grants Committee of the re-cently-announced decision on professors’ salaries is called for by the Auckland branch of the Association of University Teachers. The branch chairman. Professor J. F. Northey, said the local executive had carefully considered the implications of the salary scales announced. A review was urged to allow the universities to make liberal use of the higher range of any salary scale adopted.
