CROSSING ACCIDENT
Man Badly Hurt f.V.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, May 28. An Edendale man was injured tonight when the car he was driving collided with a north-bound goods train on the crescent level crossing in Edendale at 6.40. He is Kenneth George McLennan, of George street. Mr McLennan’s badly damaged car was found upside down in the grass on the side of the road. He was admitted to Gore Hospital with multiple lacerations to the head and was still in the operating theatre late tonight.
