(N.Z.P A-Rent er—Copyright) HONG KONG, May 28. Typhoon Viola today broke Hong Kong’s two-year-old drought and threatened to swamp parts of the new territories with unusually high tides. The storm, sweeping towards the Colony from the South China Sea. brought seven inches of rain in just over 24 hours. It also made several thousand people—most of them junk dwellers—homeless, and injured about 25.
