FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT Situation.—A complex trough of low pressure is moving slowly eastwards across New Zealand. Forecast: Canterbury.—Light to moderate variable winds, south-westerlies in coastal areas; mainly fine, apart from isolated showers at first; moderate aftenioon temperatures. Buller and Westland. —Light to moderate south-westerlies; isolated showers and long, fair periods; cool. Marlborough and Nelson.—Light to moderate variable winds; fine, apart from isolated showers at first; moderate afternoon temperatures. Outlook: a few showers on the West Coast, mainly fine elsewhere.
