Proposed Hohepa Home
Sir,—The heading of your report on the Heathcote County Council’s special meeting last night will, I feel, be somewhat misleading to those who were not present. Would it not have made the position clearer from the outset to have been specific and stated: “Thirty-two Cashmere People Object to Home”?—Yours etc., BESSIE PORTER. May 28, 1964.
Sir, —In this morning’s issue I read, in large lettering, “No Thornhill Crescent,” an address alleged to have been used “to mislead local residents.” I have posted very many letters to Thornhill crescent over the last 20 years, none of which have gone astray. It is also used in the telephone directory, and when this property was advertised for sale in “The Press,” that was the address used. I fail to see where there could be any misleading.—Yours etc., FAIR PLAY. May 28, 1964.
