One Change In A Team

The only change In the Canterbury ’ A Rugby- League team to play Auckland on June 1 from that which beat Canterbury B on Sunday is the inclusion of the injured M. Mohi and the relegation of E. J. Tavendale to the reserves. No new representatives are included in the team. The Canterbury A team is:— P. J. Tongue (Hornby): C. C. Preece (Sydenham), B. W Langton (Hornby), J. D. Walshe (Marist), P. Abercrombie (Linwood), J. Hawthorne (Christchurch), J Martin (Sydenham) or P. G Skerton (Hornby); W. Karina (Sydenham), L. Tehuia (Christchurch); M. J. Worters (Addington): J. A. Cooke will captain the A team and Flanagan the B team The vice-captains are Turton (A) and Karina (B).

R. S. J. Irvine (Marist) and J. A. Bond (Papanui) were not available because of injury. The following referees were appointed by the New Zealand Council:—
