BEATLEMANIA

(New Zealand Press Association)

WELLINGTON, May 27. Measures will be taken to keep the Beatles’ visit to Wellington next month as orderly as possible. Most organisations connected with the singers’ three-day stay will attend a meeting tomorrow to map out a plan of cam, paign. The Beatles will arrive on June 2 at 3.30 p.m. at Wellington airport. Extra policemen would be on duty during the visit, said the Commis-

sloner of Police (Mr C. L. Spencer). Depending on reactions in Australia, off-duty men would be called back, and reinforcements brought in from the Hutt Valley. A police guard will be provided for the Beatles. The manager of the Hotel St. George, Mr J. Drewitt, confirmed tonight that the Beatles would be staying at his hotel. “I don’t anticipate any problems,” he said.
