Administrative Adviser To Queen Elizabeth

Sir Basil Smallpeice, the former managingdirector of British Overseas Airways Corporation has been appointed to the newlycreated post of administrative adviser to Queen Elizabeth’s household, Buckingham Palace announced today. The appointment is understood to have come about because of a considerable increase in administrative work on the Queen's behalf in recent years. The Palace announcement
said the appointment “will be on a part-time basis, and will take effect in the early autumn for a period of two years."
