HASTINGS, May 26.
A bag containing £lB9 10s, which the police believe, to be part of the proceeds from a robbery at the shop of Charles Begg and Company, Ltd., Hereford street west, Hastings, has been recovered. A woman will appear before the Court soon in connexion with the theft. Cash amounting to £239 was taken from a bag which had been left lying on an office desk on Monday afternoon within reach of customers, but cheques amounting to £65 which were beside the bag were untouched. The police made a search of a house section yesterday afternoon and found a bag containing £lB9 10s hanging on a fence.
A new five-storey hotel, exclusively for young people and students, has been opened in Budapest. The 102 rooms can accommodate 400.—(Reuter).
