Obituary
MR J. D. CAMM Mr John Dyer Camm, who died suddenly at his home this week was a director of H. E. Perry. Ltd., photographic merchants, and a member of the St. Andrew s College board of governors. . Mr Camm joined H. E. Perry. Ltd., in 1536 and was branch manager in Christchurch for several years before being made a director. His father, the late Mr R. H. J. Camm. was manager of the Commercial Bank in Christchurch. Mr Camm was a pupil at St. Andrew’s College from 1928 td 1931. He was a prefect in 1931 and a member of the first eleven and first fifteen in 1930 and 1931. He later played cricket for many seasons for the West Christchurch Club Mr Camm was on the executive of the St. Andrew’s College Old Boys’ Association for many years, and was the association’s representative on the college board of governors from 1959 to 1963. Last year he was appointed a board member in his own right. He was the chairman of the joint appeal committee of the Old Boys’ Association and Parent-teacher Association during the college’s fiftieth anniversary celebrations. Mr Camm's other interests included the Christchurch Business Men’s Club and the Russley Golf Club. He is survived by his wife and two children, Margaret, who is overseas at present, and Michael.
