Parking Plan
An overbridge across Victoria street, Hamilton, feeding cars from the converted railway bridge into a multistorey parking building on land owned by the Railways Department, is seen by the Hamilton City Council as a long-term solution for Hamilton's traffic and parking problems. The Mayor (Dr. D. Rogers) and the chairman of the works committee (Cr. J. R. Baird) envisage a ground floor shopping and office centre, with an estimated 500 cars in the higher floors of the building.— (P.A.)
