CAR HANDLE IN LEG
Cyclist In jured The door handle of a car was driven into the leg of a cyclist who was involved in a collision with the car last evening. ■ The cyclist, Mr R. Hogan, aged 17, of 90 Poulson street, was riding a racing cycle. The door handle was driven into his leg below the knee. Mr Hogan was taken to the Christchurch Hospital, where a doctor removed the door handle and stitched the wounds. Mr Hogan was later allowed to go home. The accident occurred ai the corner of Moorhouse avenue and Colombo street at 6-50 p.m. The handle was snapped off the car as the youth and cycle scraped along the side of the car.
