VISITORS TO BRITAIN
Im. Expected This Year (Special Crspdt. N.Z.P.AJ LONDON, May 26. More than 500,000 visitors from the Commonwealth and a similar number from the United States are expected to visit Britain this year. At the same time it is expected that 3m persons from Britain will be going abroad. The British Travel and Holidays Association, which gives these estimates, says that most of the Americans will stay from five to 10 days before going on to, or visiting, the Continent. Commonwealth visitors stay much longer. A quarter of a million are expected from France, and about 200,000 from Germany. The Shakespeare celebrations are the biggest- attraction in Britain this year.
