MALAYSIA DISPUTE
Mediation Expected (NZPA.-Reuter—Copyright) KUALA LUMPUR, May 21. A major effort to settle the Malaysia crisis is expected to develop in Kuala Lumpur over the week-end. The Thai Foreign Minister (Mr Thanat Khoman) arrived at Penang, North Malaya, yesterday, ostensibly on a holiday. The Philippines special emissary in the dispute, Mr Salvador Lopez, is expected back in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday after talks in Djakarta. Mr Khoman has a plan which involves the creation of a demilitarised zone along the Borneo frontiers of warring Malaysia and Indonesia.
