Direct Flight To Woodbourne
(N.Z. Press Associatibn) BLENHEIM, May 19. A United States Air Force Hercules Cl3O will make a direct flight to the R.N.Z.A.F. Station, Woodbourne, from an Australian base on Thursday. It will be one of the rare occasions on which a direct flight from overseas has been made into Woodbourne. Captain M. G. Closs, officer commanding the United States Aero Space Research Unit at Woodbourne, said today the Hercules was bringing supplies for his unit. It would make a two-hour stop-over at Woodbourne before leaving for Christchurch.
“No Delay.”— The Soviet Premier (Mr Khrushchev)'told President Nasser and other United Arab Republic leaders: “There will be no delay over arms if they are needed.” Mr Khrushchev was speaking in Cairo after his first full formal talks with President Nasser.—Cairo, May is.
