Leaders Easier In Irregular Trading
Leading issues were easier in irregular trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. New Zealand shares followed a steadier trend, but overseas issues were firmer.
There were some worthwhile gains in the New Zealand section. Andrews and Beaven B rose 4s to move almost into line with the old shares, Charles Begg and Guthrie Bowron both rose Is and J. Rattray Is 6d, while McKenzies notes, in first post-bonus issue announcement sales, gained 3s. Bell Badio edged back 6d to 36s and Pye Electronics lost 2s to 71s.
